Matt Tuggle is a musician and bartender in Nashville, TN. He discovered a passion for making drinks while he was in school at Vanderbilt, and soon was studying cocktail techniques and recipes alongside his other studies.

After graduating, Matt began bartending at Pinewood Social, led by celebrated bartender Matt Tocco. Under Tocco’s mentorship, Matt further expanded his knowledge of ingredients and recipes both old and new. Matt eventually went to Chopper, an outstanding modern tiki bar, to learn more about rum and exotic cocktails.

Matt’s next stop took him to The Patterson House, one of the foremost cocktail bars in the country. Back with mentor Matt Tocco again, Matt continued honing his craft and knowledge of numerous spirits and flavors.

 In just the last three years, Matt has created more than 30 drinks for the menus at the various bars where he’s worked, along with countless originals for his enjoyment at home. 

 Though rum is Matt’s specialization, he is knowledgeable and capable of making drinks with any spirit, minimalist and maximalist, classic and original.
